Who will receive a copy of the results?
We will send a full report of your imaging exam to the physician who ordered the test as well as any other physician(s) you designate. Please be sure to let us know if other physicians should receive a copy of the results.
Who interprets the exam?
Because all exams at Escondido Imaging are interpreted by board certified radiologists (or cardiologists for imaging of the heart), you will not receive a report from the technologist who performs the study. Our technologists and nurses are available to answer any questions about the performance of your exam. Our radiologists are members of Valley Radiology Consultants Medical Group (www.valleyrad.com). A signed report will be transmitted to the practitioner(s) involved in your care. Although you may not see the radiologist or cardiologist, please be assured your test has been supervised, reviewed and interpreted by a board certified radiologist with expertise in CT and MRI imaging.
How will I receive the results?
Your ordering practitioner will contact you regarding the test results. If your test was performed on an emergency or urgent basis, the results will be called and/or sent by fax on the same day as your test. For routine studies, a signed report is usually transmitted to your referring physician within 24 hours of the test.
